My company doesn’t have this program yet. How can I share information about it?
Thank you for your interest in New Moms’ Healthy Returns. On the web page (https://www.newmomshealthyreturns.com/), select “For Parents” tab in the top right navigation bar. There you will find a resource that includes a letter and information about New Moms’ Healthy Returns that you can share with your employer.
What is my employer required to provide in terms of breastfeeding breaks and space?
This varies by state and company size. To find the breastfeeding laws in your area, visit Mamava’s state-by-state guide to breastfeeding legislation.
How do I access the 24/7 Virtual Support? What type of support is given through this service?
The 24/7 Virtual Support is powered by Pacify. To access, download the Pacify app and sign up using the unique code located on the back of your Pacify card, provided to you by your employer. Once your account is set up, you can make a call to connect with an expert directly through the app.
The 24/7 Virtual Support feature gives you access to maternal and pediatric experts, including registered nurses and lactation consultants. You can call whenever you need advice from an expert about pregnancy, breastfeeding, latching, pumping, fevers, rashes, crying/colic, teething, sleeping, earaches, poop, picky eating, sore nipples, and more!
How do I access the Mamava pod?
You can access the Mamava pod in your workspace through the Mamava app or with the designated key code provided to you by your employer.
If you are having trouble accessing the pod, check out the Mamava FAQs or call the help number listed on the pod.
Am I able to access the program prenatally or do I have to wait to return to work first?
Certain aspects of New Moms’ Healthy Returns are available before baby arrives, like the 24/7 Virtual Support, but most of the offerings available through this program are designed to support your breastfeeding success when you return to work after baby.
Contact your employer to find out what benefits are available to you through your company.
Will my employer or insurance company have access to the information I enter in the app? How will my privacy be protected?
Using the 24/7 Virtual Support service powered by Pacify is a personal experience, and your consultations with experts are private. You can choose whether or not to share aggregate data about your interactions with your company (so they can understand program usage). You will be asked to create a Pacify account to use the service. Pacify meets all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
